The Food of Paradise by Ibn Amjeb

The story is all about hope and faith towards our God. The story tells about Allah and like us christians, the words of God are same. We must have hope and faith to our God because when everything is complicated , He's be there for us. It is better to do good things and just pray to God that he will guide us and be more appreciative and thankful for what he has done for us, good or bad.

The Cock by Tao Kim Hai

The story is about a woman from a rich family marrying a man from a very poor family and how the cock, an old rooster, played a part in their lives.

In real life , some people might think bad about what you were doing in life even if its good. So just don't mind other's what they think about you.
It's your life they don't care

Homecoming by Lin Huai Min

The story is not strange for us filipinos that who leave their mother country to continue their studies abroad. But the thing is in the story, the main character forget where she came from. She's not proud of her traditions.

For me , Traditions and culture symbolizes what person you are. So don't forget where you came from. It's your own self.
Just be proud.

Oh... Oh... Oh... By Idrus

The theme of the story is all about corruption in the sense that the policeman gets all the sacks of rice of the passenger in the train. The Conductor and the ticket seller of the train are not fair in treating their customers. The ticket seller chooses only the person who can pay the ticket in a larger amount. If the person doesn't have a big amount, they will be standing in their place until the person having a big amount are done.

It's like our country, corruption in the Philippines is all over the places. Our nation is stagnant because of the people that do nothing but to steal. Then like in the story, Here in our country has an unequal treatment between poor and rich people.
And that's a fact.

Corruption in the Philippines exists in all levels of the government of the country. Political nepotism is one of the larger problems facing the country.

Mahamaya by Rabindranath Tagore

The theme of the story is about societal norms and romance. In ancient India, when you're in a family of nobility, fall in love with a shoddy man is forbidden. In that period, equal treatment is missing.

The story generally inform the readers the importance of social status. Wherein the poor can't be wed to a person who is has higher social status.

It also seeks to inform there readers that one single decision could change our lives forever. We can never bring back the things that are lost. What we can do is live with it. Just accept our decision good or bad.

And one more thing, In the story there's a trust issue. In real life, it also the same.
Love cannot survive if there is no trust between each other.
